The Pink Gig – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
White Salt, together with The pink Gig held a High Tea on Sunday 2nd October to raise awareness and much needed for Breast cancer in WA.
Jane Baroni’s Pink Gig approached Tim and Claire Leech, owners of White Salt Café who jumped straight on board to host the event which was a sellout within a week! Their staff worked the event for FREE!
90 guests were treated to an amazing HIGH TEA created by White Salt’s Head Chef Josh Vears.
All food, tea and coffee were kindly donated by the local suppliers of White Salt. Sponsors included The Sorrento Beach Resort, Joondalup Resort, Dimattina Coffee, Skin deep Medi Spa, Purseys Bakery, Pezzano Foods , Trinity Meats.
Pink was the colour of the day with stunning pink cupcakes and wonderful Pink Prosecco, donated by Brown Brothers Wines. The room was adorned by Pink Balloons and beautiful gift baskets provided by Jacquie from Facing Facts.
The guest speaker, Emma Taylor was captivating and all inspiring as she spoke about her breast cancer journey, the work that the charities do and her role as a counsellor and aid to those currently on the journey.
A generous donation of a photo booth was kindly available from Vogue Booths – provided much fun and laughter.
The raffle raised $1,000 and the silent auction another $1,000.
Together with ticket sales a grand total of $7500 was raised for Breast Cancer WA.
